A New Woman In My Husband’s Life

Ok…so I am just getting in the house and have a ton to do…so I will make this quick. When I came home today my husband was in for a shock. He said I looked like a totally different woman. Why? Because I dyed my hair. I am now a dark brunette. This has been a big change that was a long time coming. I have been a blond/light brown woman for the past 10 years. I have been highlighting my hair since I was 15. So for nearly 14 yrs I have had some sort of light color upon my head…well not anymore.

The reason for the change.

  • I was tired of having light hair.

  • My natural color is dark and I am on this back to basics kick.

  • I am preparing for pregnancy and don’t want to have to single process color my hair anymore.

  • Every woman I admire lately has dark hair.

So from Angelina Jolie to DeLeon to Camilla Alves – I have been “dyeing” to have dark hair for the longest. Well here’s to the big plunge. I LOVE MY NEW HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!! I may go back to my blond locks one day, but for now I am happy with fading back to my natural black. It may take me – and everyone else – sometime to get used to it…but I think it will be a very welcomed change!

BTW I have to thank my good friend Edmee who cut and colored my hair (she used to do hair in France). As soon as my camera is out of the shop I will post better pics.

Oh..and Chris loves it. He now says I am his Indian-Middle Eastern-Mamacita…LOL.

You look fabulous! But you’re lucky as you do suit it both colours :)
I’ve quite a few blonde highlights in at the moment but am considering going darker again next week. I think change is good and it’s fun playing around with your hair colour…

I love being dark! I keep getting looks on the street or that could be my imagination…either way I am glad I crossed back over.
