On This Rock Jewelry: This Wife’s Favorite Thing
This year I have chosen On This Rock, a NYC based jewelry company, as my favorite thing. On This Rock is the creation of Janet Hill-Talbert, former book editor for Random House Publishing. For two decades she worked in the publishing world until she stepped out into her true calling as a jewelry designer. She even had a makeover by Oprah to begin her transition.
Her jewelry is not only beautiful to the eyes, but it is uplifting to the spirit. Whether it is a gold cuff with a Bible scripture or her “Speak No Evil, Hear No Evil, See No Evil” earrings, each piece carries a unique message.
Janet Hill-Talbert is not only a phenomenal designer, but she is a great friend and a godly wife. She and her husband Aaron were at our ministry’s woman’s conference this year and blessed us with a showcase of her jewelry for our participants. Their marriage is also a message in itself. His support for her is evident and a testimony for all women who are trusting God for a husband. You can read more about how they met in this New York Times Article.
On This Rock is my favorite thing of 2009 as it encompasses so many of the things that represent me as a woman, a wife, and a Christian. Whether for a mother, a sister, or yourself, On This Rock jewelry is a treasure like no other.

I have yet to adorn myself with a few peices of the jewelry, but it is certainly a girl's "must have".
